Second open house meeting set for May 18 for Kalahari zoning process

A second open house meeting for public input on the rezoning process for the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center project is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at Ridgeview Middle School, 2000 Via Sonoma Trail. The meeting is come-and-go; there will be no formal oral presentation. Representatives from the City and Kalahari will be at the to answer questions and listen to resident’s comments and concerns.

Approximately 50 people attended the first open house meeting, Tuesday, May 9, at Ridgeview. Here is the information that will be presented at the meeting. The same information will be presented at both meetings.

We have added a Rezoning Process FAQ to our Kalahari project pages. If you have comments or questions, please send an email to the project team at kalahari@roundrocktexas.gov.

There will be additional opportunities for input at public hearings before the Planning and Zoning Commission, which must approve the zoning, as well as the City Council, which will make the final vote. No dates have been set yet for those meetings.
