Police arrest man for bank robbery

At 11:01 a.m. Nov. 1, Round Rock Police officers responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred at Citizens National Bank, 201 W. Palm Valley Blvd. The caller advised a male entered the bank, demanded money from a teller and then fled on foot. The suspect entered a gold 2003 Ford Taurus parked in the church parking lot behind the bank and drove south on Mays Street. A witness in the church parking lot followed the suspect and called 911.

Officers were able to stop the suspect in a parking lot outside of Dell headquarters. He was taken into custody without incident. There were no injuries in the robbery.

Through the investigation detectives were able to confirm the identity of the suspect involved in this robbery as 46-year-old Alan David Hejl. During the robbery, the suspect was wearing dark-toned makeup and a wig to conceal his identity. Hejl was driving a stolen vehicle out of Marble Falls, Texas. Hejl has been charged with robbery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
