Police investigate shooting in Downtown Round Rock area

UPDATE, 11/14: The Round Rock Police Department has identified the victim in last night’s fatal shooting on West Main Street as 26-year-old Taylor Longshaw of Austin.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting outside TwoRooted Salon at 403 W. Main Street. Upon arrival, officers found Longshaw outside the business where she worked, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Selena Eubank of Carrollton. Eubank fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. She was later found near the 500 block of West Liberty Avenue, deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Preliminary information indicates the incident was related to a domestic violence situation. The investigation remains ongoing.

ORIGINAL: On Thursday, Nov 13, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Round Rock Police responded to reports of a shooting at 403 W. Main Street in the Downtown Round Rock area.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Lifesaving measures were performed, but the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. The person of interest was later located near the 500 block of West Liberty Avenue and was found deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Preliminary information indicates this was an isolated incident involving parties known to one another. There is no ongoing threat to the public, and the investigation remains ongoing.
