Update: Police investigate shooting on McNeil Road

Suspect has been taken into custody

On Thursday, November 17, 2016 at approximately 7:20 p.m., Round Rock Police responded to the 1100 block of McNeil Road for a subject with a gun. The caller reported his adult son had fired a gun at his adult daughter following an argument. Officers responded and met with the adult daughter who affirmed her brother, Eligio Gonzalez had fired a handgun toward her and her daughters near a vehicle in the driveway of the residence. She was unharmed and fled the scene to meet up with officers. Officers arrived and due to the suspect being armed with a gun and possibly barricaded in the home, the SWAT team was notified. SWAT officers conducted a thorough search of the location and were not able to locate the suspect. It is believed the suspect fled the scene prior to officers arriving.
