Update: Deceased identified in shooting

Dec. 30 Update: The deceased has been identified as Jabari Cephus, 20. Officers have identified a subject of interest in the Sunday night shooting, which occurred in the parking lot of the Regency at Dell Ranch apartment complex. The preliminary investigation indicates this was a dispute between two subjects who knew each other. At this time, it is believed that there is not a continuing threat to the public.

The Round Rock Fire Department, Williamson County EMS, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, and Pflugerville Police Department provided assistance.

Original Post: Shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 600 block of Louis Henna Blvd. One male subject was found with what appear to be gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. He has not yet been positively identified. Two other subjects were detained at the scene. It is unknown what their involvement is. The scene has been secured and the investigation is ongoing.
