Bank robbery suspect arrested following public assistance

We asked for help. You delivered. And now a bank robbery suspect is behind bars.

The Round Rock Police Department on Tuesday, April 28, arrested Arturo Luna (DOB July 18, 1956) for robbing a Wells Fargo Bank branch on Monday, April 27.

Within minutes of the suspect’s surveillance photos being posted on the Police Department Facebook page, officers received numerous tips on his identity. Luna turned himself in, was arrested and booked at the Williamson County Jail.

When police responded to the call of a reported robbery at the bank at 2300 S. IH 35 at 1 p.m. Monday, they learned the suspect displayed a weapon, demanded money and fled the scene on foot. Surveillance video captured images of the suspect.
