Police arrest man who in connection to May bank robbery

UPDATE: Lee Duane DeYoung was arrested June 13 on a state robbery charge related to the May 6 robbery of the First Convenience Bank at 4700 E. Palm Valley Blvd. The 63-year-old Taylor resident was pulled over for a traffic violation. Officers determined during the course of the traffic stop that DeYoung’s motorcycle was stolen and then recognized him from surveillance images from the robbery. During the robbery, money was demanded from the teller by passing a note.

ORIGINAL POST: Round Rock police are seeking to identify a man who robbed the First Convenience Bank, 4700 E. Palm Valley Blvd., shortly after 11 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019.

The white or Hispanic male entered the bank wearing a camouflage hat and sunglasses. The man, who stands above 6 feet tall and is between 50 and 60 years old, demanded money from a teller. A weapon was not displayed during the incident. The suspect was last seen wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt, blue jeans, and work boots. He is described as having black hair and a thick black mustache.

He fled on a blue motorcycle, believed to resemble an early 90’s model Honda CB750. The motorcycle was believed to have been seen heading eastbound on US HWY 79 past FM 685 in Hutto.
