Police recognize Doctor who rendered aid to Officer Charles Whites

Dr. Cinclair's efforts gave family and friends more time to be with Officer Whites

The Round Rock Police Department presented Dr. Robert Cinclair with its Heroism Award on Jan. 10 for his efforts in prolonging the life of Officer Charles Whites. Chief Allen Banks and Officer Whites’ wife Connie Whites presented the award at the beginning of the Round Rock City Council meeting.

Dr. Cinclair stopped and rendered aid to Officer Whites on Feb. 25, 2018 after Officer Whites was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic around a crime scene. Officer Whites would succumb to those injuries on April 27, 2018.

Dr. Cinclair saw the vehicle hit Officer Whites, stopped to render aid, opened Officer Whites’ airway allowing him to start breathing again, and waited with Officer Whites until EMS arrived. This heroic and compassionate act allowed Officer Whites’ family, friends, and Round Rock Police family to be with him for another two months.
