The City of Round Rock recently completed installation of a new playground at Bowman Park.
The project included installation of two new play structures, swings and shade sails at 950 E. Bowman Road, to replace previous playground equipment.

The $155,623 playground project was funded through federal Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) as part of the City of Round Rock’s CDBG 2023-2024 Annual Action Plan. The work was part of the overall renovation of Bowman Park, which previously called for CDBG allotments that expanded Bowman Park’s trail and made ADA improvements at the 8.54-acre neighborhood park.
Round Rock Parks and Recreation aims to replace playground equipment every 10-15 years. The previous Bowman Park playground equipment that was removed had been installed in 2009.
