Round Rock ISD, City, YMCA seek proposals for feasibility study of indoor aquatic center

The Round Rock ISD, City and the YMCA of Greater Williamson County are evaluating the needs and potential of a new indoor Aquatic Center in Round Rock.

To that end, a request for proposals has been issued for professional consulting services and support to determine the need, feasibility, sustainability, economic impact, cost and benefits of developing said facility.

The Aquatic Center would service and support multiple aquatic user groups and stakeholders and provide state-of-the-art facilities for competitive swimming, diving, fitness and recreation for the entire community, as well as visitors to the community. User groups and stakeholders include Round Rock citizens, Round Rock Independent School District, YMCA members, YMCA program participants and local competitive aquatic teams.

Proposals were sent out in early January. Evaluation of the proposals will take place during the month of March, with final interviews of candidate firms anticipated for the week of April 6.
