Round Rock Parks and Recreation honored with two TRAPS central region awards

The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department has been recognized by the Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS) Central Region with two honors this year.

The department received the Department Marketing Award for its “Thor Knows RRTX is Worthy” campaign, which highlighted the value of Round Rock’s parks, programs and amenities in a creative, engaging way.

Round Rock Parks and Recreation was also recognized with the Advocate of the Year Award, accepted on behalf of Casey’s Circle, a community partner that regularly collaborates with the department to support Adaptive and Inclusive programs and events for residents of all abilities.

The Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS) is a nonprofit educational and professional organization founded in 1937 to advance the profession of parks, recreation and leisure services in Texas.  There are approximately 2,400 professional and citizen-advocate members of the Texas Recreation and Park Society.
