Saharan dusts heads back to Texas, expected to impact Round Rock air quality

Fine particles of sand, also referred to as “Saharan Dust,” are expected to sweep north from the Gulf of Mexico into Central Texas impacting local air quality through the weekend.

Local air quality forecasts predict moderate levels of air pollution across the region.

While there are currently no air quality alerts in place, those who have breathing issues, or those with enhanced sensitivity should consider reducing prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion.
