A pavement failure that occurred on Sunday, Jan. 10, on Harrell Parkway has closed a portion of that road, which runs through Old Settlers Park from U.S. 79 to Old Settlers Boulevard.

The failure occurred at a culvert between the sand volleyball courts and Aten Loop. Visitors can still access all areas of the park.

Residents who want to access the Champion Fields (Baseball/Softball), Multipurpose Field North, Football Fields and Tennis Complex should enter off of Old Settlers Boulevard. Residents who want access to either of the pavilion areas, playscapes, trail system, cricket fields, soccer fields or volleyball courts should enter off U.S. 79. Repairs are expected to be complete by late February.
