Suspect arrested following downtown Round Rock stabbing

Round Rock Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with a stabbing in downtown Round Rock on Thursday, June 11.

Investigators determined the incident stemmed from a verbal altercation between two individuals late that evening. Officers, firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the 100 block of West Main Street, providing lifesaving measures to the victim, who was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

The suspect, identified as Skyler Stewart, 26, fled the scene following the stabbing. Through investigative efforts, officers later located Stewart at his residence in Cedar Park and took him into custody.

Stewart was booked into Williamson County Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
