Street maintenance crews will be working on University Blvd. from March 24-April 14

A City contractor will be working on an asphalt overlay of University Blvd. between A.W. Grimes and County Road 110 from March 24 to April 14. This work will result in lane closures along the roadway in the evenings, with contractors using a pilot car to direct traffic through the available lane. The proposed schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

As part of the City’s ongoing Street Maintenance Program, this stretch of University Boulevard will receive various pavement repairs and approximately 4,550 tons of Hot Mix Pavement.

Motorists can expect delays and slowed or stopped traffic during the flagging operation. Drivers are reminded to be on the lookout for workers in the area, reduce their speed when construction is taking place and increase the distance between their vehicles.
