Unofficial result: Hilda Montgomery wins City Council Place 6 election

Election fills vacancy created by Kris Whitfield resignation

Hilda Montgomery won the Dec. 16 election for City Council Place 6 with 56 percent of the votes, according to unofficial results from the Williamson County elections office.

Hilda Montgomery received 1,868 votes; Hollis Bone received 1,402 (42 percent); and John Montgomery received 77 (2 percent).

The Place 6 vacancy was created when Kris Whitfield resigned the seat in October.

Results will be official when the City Council canvasses the election.
