We need your input on Transit Plan

The City is in the midst of developing a Transit Plan, and is seeking additional public input this month.

A new interactive tool will allow you to prioritize investments to create your ideal transit system. You’ll learn about the different types of transit services, then develop a system while staying within budget. It’s a challenging exercise, but one that will give our planners effective input.

The Build Your Transit System tool will be available through Aug. 7.

There were three public meetings on Thursday, July 16, to solicit more input and give people the opportunity to take the survey. There was a community open house from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Public Library, 216 E. Main St., and a pair of public meetings, from 6 to 6:30 and 6:30 to 7 at the Baca Center, 301 W. Bagdad Ave. Each meeting consisted of a brief presentation and interactive survey.

The City’s consultant on the project, Nelson Nygaard, released in June an Existing Conditions report. Earlier this year, the planning process included a public meeting and online survey.
