Join the Baca Center in May for lots of fun and educational activities for Older American’s Month. This year’s theme is Connect, Create and Contribute. The center will facilitate ways to connect with friends and resources; provide engaging activities that promote health and enrichment; ways to contribute your time, talent and life experiences.
Members that participate in a minimum of 8 activities and get their calendar stamped can turn in their calendar at the Baca front desk to receive a prize. Make sure you get your calendar stamped when you attend the activities. You must receive your stamp during the activities. Stamps will not be added after activities have concluded. The Allen R Baca Center for Senior and Community Activities hosts programs and events for adults ages 50+ with a fitness room, aerobics/dance room, meeting/rental spaces, patio and much more. In addition, the facility is available for rental for your next baby shower, wedding shower, business luncheon or reception.
OWBC Senior Nutritional Program – Dining Room
The OWBC Senior Nutrition Program, sponsored through Opportunities for Williamson & Burnet Counties (OWBC), offers nutritionally balanced, homemade lunches at a low cost for seniors at the Baca Activity Center. The Dining Room is located off Bagdad. Seniors (60+), those with disabilities who live with seniors or in senior housing, and their guests can come together over a good meal. Menus, which change daily, include an entree, two vegetables, beverage, and dessert (mainly fruits). Everything that isn’t breaded or a bread is made from scratch, all vegetables are fresh or frozen, most fruits are fresh or frozen, and all grains are whole grains, except when unavailable. Reservations are only necessary for special occasions (Thanksgiving, Christmas). Lunch is served between 12:00 and 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A donation of $3 for seniors with an OWBC lunch card (pre-registration with OWBC required – please allow 10 minutes or so for the sign up process) is much appreciated and $7 is required for others.

From IH 35, Exit FM 620/Main Street. Go East on 620/Main Street heading towards downtown Round Rock. Turn Right on N Brown St. Go two blocks and take a Right on W. Bagdad Ave. The Baca Center is the second building on the left. The parking garage is located underneath the Baca Center with an elevator in the center which leads up into the building.
