Trash and recycling collection for the City of Round Rock is delayed this week due to winter weather impacts, and Monday routes will be collected next Monday, Feb. 2, to prevent further delays to the remaining schedule.
Republic Services, the City’s solid waste provider, suspended all trash collection Monday and Tuesday this week due to weather conditions.
Important for Monday Customers
Because Monday’s routes were unable to be picked up Tuesday, they cannot be worked into this week’s schedule without delaying every remaining route even further. Monday’s service, including both garbage and recycling, will be collected next Monday, Feb. 2, instead — meaning all Monday customers will have their recycling picked up that day. After Feb. 2, Monday customers should return to their normal A week or B week recycling schedule.
Reminder: Residents can always place up to seven additional bags at the curb with their regular weekly pickup. If Monday customers have more than seven bags from the accumulation of two weeks’ worth of trash, Republic has indicated a willingness to work with residents to accommodate pickup of those additional bags.
