Santa makes a special visit to Round Rock

Group of Santas and their helpers gather for a photo at the non-profit charity drive in Round Rock, TX.

Santa brought the holiday cheer to town early with a toy drive, following the tornado in Round Rock on March 21.

The City partnered with the Lone Star Santas to host the Caravan of Toys event on Saturday, May 7. The non-profit organization provided toys for 28 registered families, accounting for a total of 60 children in need.

Santa took each family down rows of toys. Each child was able to pick any two toys, two stuffed animals, and additional toys from a grab-bin. Finally, they took a photo with Santa in his chair which the team printed instantly.

The event was free and Lone Star Santas donated the toys. Their membership uses their own vehicles and equipment to drive across Texas to visit cities impacted by natural disasters.

Although many families face a long road to recovery, the Lone Star Santas were able to put smiles on their faces.
