Baca Center celebrates 20 years of community, connection

The Allen R. Baca Center for Senior and Community Activities celebrated its 20th anniversary Wednesday, marking two decades of programs, friendships and community memories in Round Rock.

Since opening in 2005, the Baca Center has served as a gathering place for adults ages 50 and older, offering programs and activities that support physical activity, social engagement, education, creativity and healthy lifestyles. For many members, the center has become more than a place to attend a class or event. It has become a place to build friendships, stay active, share laughter and create lasting memories.

Located in downtown Round Rock, the Baca Center (301 W Bagdad Ave bldg. 2) includes a weight room, billiards room, aerobics and dance room, meeting rooms, patio and other spaces designed to support recreation, wellness and connection.

The anniversary celebration highlighted the role the center has played in the lives of its members and the broader community over the past 20 years.

As the Baca Center looks ahead, the celebration served as a reminder of the friendships, programs and everyday moments that continue to make the center a special place for Round Rock’s active adult community.
