Recently, a city utility customer received a call from someone pretending they were with “Round Rock Water Utilities” and saying the business owed money for not paying its bill. As it turns out, the phone call was a scam and came from the 805 area code.

If you get a call claiming you owe the City on an unpaid utility bill, it won’t come from a southern California area code. To confirm the validity of any overdue bill calls or notices, please call the City Utility Billing Department at 512-218-5460.
