Celebrate Black History Month at the Library - City of Round Rock

Celebrate Black History Month at the Library

Celebrate Black History Month by discovering black voices in literature or checking out a book about the achievements of African Americans! You can find a list of books for all ages using the library catalog’s Public Lists feature.

You can create personal lists of books, movies and CDs on Koha, our online library system. Library staff has also created lists with recommended titles, such as Black History Month 2018. You can find the lists on the top left-hand side of the catalog screen.

Come by the Library’s Gallery area throughout the month of February to see a historical photo exhibit of Black Veterans of Round Rock, curated by the Round Rock Black History Organization.

On Monday, Feb. 26, Elizabeth Kahura will use traditional folk-telling skills to take elementary students on an African safari: https://www.roundrocktexas.gov/event/rockin-kids-club-game-4th-2018-02-26/
