Round Rock Public Library has joined the American Library Association and libraries nationwide for Library Card Sign-Up Month, an initiative to highlight the value of a library card. Every September, we celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month all month long, and this year’s theme is Get in Your Element.
There is nothing more empowering than getting your own library card. It gives you access to technology, resources and services to pursue your passions and dreams. Your Round Rock Public Library Card also allows you access to movies, audiobooks, ebooks, music and much more.
Have you or someone you know recently moved to the Round Rock area? If so, encourage them to come visit us and pick up a library card! Learn more about the Library Card Sign-Up Month initiative at roundrocktexas.gov/library.
Did you know? We are also running a social media promotion to celebrate our new library card design! Don’t miss out on the fun!
Here’s how you can participate:
- Stop by the library between September 1-30 and take a photo with our oversized library card
- Post your photo to your social media account and tag Round Rock Public Library to be automatically entered into our prize drawing
- Tell all of your friends/family about the promotion and encourage them to participate, too!

The winner will be contacted via social media when the contest is over during the month of October.
