Chalk Walk and Arts Festival canceled due to weather

The City of Round Rock has canceled the 2021 Chalk Walk and Arts Festival scheduled for Oct. 1-2 at Dell Diamond due to weather conditions.

“We are sad to announce the cancelation of this year’s Chalk Walk,” said Scot Wilkinson, Director of Arts and Culture. “Not only are the conditions expected to make chalking near impossible, the forecasted storms pose a potential safety risk for our festival attendees and workers.”

Chalk Walk is a celebration of the arts, with visual artists creating beautiful sidewalk murals. Strolling the “chalk walk” affords visitors the opportunity to meet and talk with the artists who create these temporary pavement masterpieces. Beyond visual arts, the festival is also host to many vendors, sponsors, local and regional musicians, theatrical performances, foods and drinks, and local children’s performances from a variety of local organizations.
