Spring 2019 UniverCity class celebrates graduation - City of Round Rock

Spring 2019 UniverCity class celebrates graduation

Nineteen residents graduated from the City of Round Rock’s citizen education program, UniverCity, at the May 9 City Council meeting.

Created in 2017, the 10-week program was designed to engage and educate residents on the operations of the City. UniverCity participants get to experience firsthand the work it takes to run a City department. Each City department hosts a presentation, tour or break out session each week, and provide valuable information about day to day operations of the City and future projects. Graduates received an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look into City operations within each of its departments.

The following participants received a certification of completion: Edward Youmans, Pat Zurlinden, Tammy Samandan, Tammy Conrad, Jen Soechting, Michael Wellner, Cory Damon, Sue Mason, Ricky Salinas, Diana Halcomb, Chuck Sanders, Andrew Wolfe, David Wright, Marc Tucker, Heidi Tucker, Daniel Jimenez, Sherry Bueche, Richard Fisher and Kathy Hill.

To inquire about the nomination process for upcoming classes or other questions about UniverCity, please email Neighborhood Services Coordinator Katy Price at kprice@roundrocktexas.gov.
