Police and U.S. Army partner in Hike for Hunger, Nov. 14

The Round Rock Police Dept. is teaming up with the U.S. Army to sponsor the 2015 Hike for Hunger Food Drive benefiting the Round Rock Area Serving Center at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 14. Participants will hike two miles from the U.S. Army Round Rock Recruiting Center to the Round Rock Area Serving Center carrying rucksacks filled with food. The public is encouraged to join the hike alongside the men and women of the Police Department and U.S. Army.

The Round Rock Serving Center is a non-profit corporation that serves low-income people and families in crisis situations through a food distribution program. Donations of nonperishable food items are currently being collected until the start of the hike.
