Round Rock Police file charges in local robberies

The Round Rock Police Department has completed the investigation involving several recent Round Rock robberies. Michael James Minier, 21 of Round Rock is being held in the Williamson County Jail and charged with three First Degree Felony counts of Aggravated Robbery with Deadly Weapon and a Third Degree Felony count of Tampering with Evidence in connection to the robbery of two local pizza businesses and a liquor store. Through an in-depth investigation and assistance from the community Minier was identified and subsequently charged.

The robberies occurred on Oct. 1, at 10:56 p.m. at the Papa John’s Pizza, located at 1201 S. IH-35, on Oct. 3, at 10:30 p.m. at the Little Caesar’s Pizza, located at 110 N. IH-35 and on Oct. 6 at 4:41 p.m. at the Andy’s Wine and Spirits located at 110 IH-35.

The suspect description was similar in each robbery and a machete type weapon was used to threaten others during the robberies. There were no injuries involved in these incidents.
