Round Rock neighborhoods are powered by volunteers — board members, committee teams, community managers and residents who quietly do the work that keeps communities connected and thriving. Each year, the City of Round Rock’s Community and Neighborhood Services team recognizes that work through the Neighborhood Leader Conference Awards. These awards are one way the City says thank you, highlights the impact neighbors are making and shares examples of what’s working across Round Rock.
Nominations are now open for the 2026 Neighborhood Leader Conference Awards, and nominations close on March 6.
Nominations must come from within Round Rock city limits. Nominations will not be accepted from associations outside of city limits including, but not limited to the following: Brushy Creek, Chandler Creek, Terravista, Paloma Lake, Cambridge Heights, Fern Bluff, Stone Canyon and Round Rock Ranch.
Anyone submitting a nomination should plan to provide their neighborhood name and email address, then submit a written nomination (1,000 words maximum) that answers the specific questions for the award category selected.
You may select up to six award categories to nominate/vote for through the form:
Community Manager of the Year recognizes a community manager for an HOA/POA who exemplifies professionalism, transparency and dedication to the HOA Board. Nominees must be staff of a management company that currently serves, or has served within the last year, an HOA/POA in Round Rock. Contributions may have occurred over many years, but judges will give special consideration to recent good deeds, so include recent examples. This award must not be self-nominated, and the nomination must come from someone outside of the management company. Nominations should address how the nominee contributed significant service to the entire neighborhood, why the nominee stands out compared to other managers, and include recent examples that demonstrate impact.
Outstanding Committee recognizes a committee group that has provided significant service to the neighborhood and strengthened community through their work. Nominations should address how the committee contributed service to the entire neighborhood, how long the committee has served, and how the committee’s activities benefited residents.
Project of the Year recognizes a neighborhood project that produced meaningful results and benefited the community. Nominations should describe the project being nominated, the results, and how the project benefited the neighborhood.
Neighborhood of the Year recognizes a neighborhood group demonstrating strong participation and community impact. Nominations should describe the neighborhood group and how many residents participate, describe the projects, activities, or events being nominated, and share the results.
Unsung Hero recognizes an individual who has provided significant and continuous volunteer service that benefits the entire neighborhood. This award must not be self-nominated. Nominations should address how the nominee contributed significant and continuous volunteer service, how long they have served and describe the activities that significantly benefited the neighborhood.
Neighborhood Leader of the Year recognizes a sitting HOA or neighborhood board member who demonstrates outstanding leadership and service. Nominees must be a sitting board member. Contributions may have occurred over multiple years, but judges will give special consideration to recent good deeds, so include recent examples. This award must not be self-nominated. Nominations should address how the nominee contributed significant service to the entire neighborhood, how long they have served, and how their activities benefited the neighborhood.
A strong nomination is specific and example-based. Instead of general praise, focus on what the person or group did, how it helped the neighborhood, and what changed as a result. Including recent examples from the last year will help judges understand the nominee’s current impact.
Award winners will be recognized at the March 6 conference. For questions or more information, contact neighborhoods@roundrocktexas.gov or call 512-671-2734.
