ROUND ROCK, Texas – The City of Round Rock invites residents and visitors to Old Settlers Park on Saturday, April 25, for a full evening of grand openings, ribbon-cuttings and live entertainment, including the launch of a new event series, Live at Lakeview. 

The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting for the new pickleball and tennis courts at the Adult Recreation Complex, 3443 Aten Loop, in Old Settlers Park. Mayor Craig Morgan and members of the Round Rock City Council are expected to attend. 

The celebration will feature ribbon-cuttings at two locations. The public is invited to begin at the Adult Sports Complex for ribbon-cuttings for the new pickleball courts and tennis courts. The celebration will then continue at Joanne Land Playground, near the Lakeview Pavilion and Stage at 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd., for the playground grand opening and ribbon-cutting at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morgan and council members will participate in both ceremonies, along with representatives from Miracle Recreation Playground Co. and We Build Fun Playground Co. After the ribbon-cutting, the playground will officially open for the remainder of the evening.

The evening will also mark the official launch of Live at Lakeview, a new event series debuting at the Lakeview Stage. The lineup will feature live music, a DJ set and a performance by Lucas John from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Food trucks and vendors will also be on site with food and items available for purchase.  

The openings mark another milestone in the city’s 2023 voter-approved GO bond program and the ongoing buildout of Old Settlers Park. The improvements reflect projects approved by Round Rock voters to expand recreation options, improve park infrastructure and create more places for residents to gather, play and celebrate.  

From the new courts to the Joanne Land Playground and Lakeview area, the improvements create more opportunities for residents of all ages to be active and spend time together. 

Event schedule for Saturday, April 25: 
6 p.m. – Pickleball and tennis grand opening and ribbon-cutting (Adult Sports Complex) 
6 p.m. – Live Music featuring  DJ Hella Yella & Faith Lee on the Lakeview Stage 
7:30 p.m.- Joanne Land Playground grand opening and ribbon-cutting 
8:30 to 10 p.m. – Live at Lakeview Event Series Kickoff featuring Lucas John, on the Lakeview Stage
