Make your voice heard, Round Rock! Residents are invited to take a survey that will help engineers and policy-makers develop a regional plan for the roadways in communities across six Central Texas counties.
The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is developing a Regional Arterials Plan to provide mobility choices that are safe, convenient, reliable, and efficient. An arterial is a road that connects to highways, local streets, and destinations, such as Red Bud Lane, or County Road 122, in Round Rock. These roads are smaller than a major highway such as I-35, but larger than a local neighborhood street. The plan will build on local planning efforts and take a regional focus on these roadways that serve as major corridors and a vital role in connecting people and places.
CAMPO has extended the deadline for completing the Regional Arterials Plan survey through Monday, May 28.
CAMPO is led by a board of 20 elected officials and agency representatives from its six-county region, which includes Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties. In addition to partnering with local transportation organizations and local governments, CAMPO conducts research on mobility issues that impact individuals and the region at large.
