Two injured in house fire

At approximately 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, the Round Rock Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 1525 Parkfield Circle.

One resident of the home suffered minor burns and was transported by Williamson County EMS to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center; another resident suffered from smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene. No firefighters were injured.

The first Fire Department units arrived at 9:22 p.m. to find smoke coming from the residence. Firefighters found fire in the water heater closet extending into the second floor and attic space. The area of origin for the fire was the water heater closet.

The fire was put out at approximately 10:17 p.m. A total of 23 fire personnel responded with two quints, two squads, three engines, one command vehicle, and one automatic aid unit from Pflugerville.

Damage is estimated to be around $200,000.
