TxDOT hosts virtual open house for Mobility35 improvements

Proposed mobility improvements to 16 miles of I-35 between RM 1431 and U.S. 183 were the highlight of an open house hosted by the Texas Department of Transportation on Thursday, Feb. 2, at Cedar Ridge High School.

If you were unable to attend the meeting in-person but would like to learn more about the project or submit a question or comment, please visit the online virtual open house between Feb. 2 and Feb. 16.

The purpose of the open house is to share information on proposed improvements included in the I-35 North 16-mile Comprehensive Project, which stretches from RM 1431 to US 183. The North16 project would add an express lane in each direction and address all remaining safety and mobility improvements proposed under the Mobility35 Program that were not already included in stand-alone projects from RM 1431 to US 183. Two alternatives are being considered, one express lane build alternative and a no-build alternative. The build alternative includes direct transit access to the express lanes.

The North16 project open house will allow attendees the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed project, which is part of the overall Mobility35 Program. Displays will be available and project staff will be present to answer questions. Attendees may come-and-go at their convenience.
