Round Rock Library

Learn Local with the Central Texas Learning Festival

Written by: Beth L., Adult Services Librarian

This spring, the Round Rock Public Library is thrilled to partner with Austin Community College and a host of other local organizations to present the first-ever Central Texas Learning Festival!

From Monday, March 4, to Saturday, March 9, organizations throughout Central Texas will highlight their free classes, workshops, and resources for adults. We’re hoping to spark a love of lifelong learning.

And you’re invited! You could experience Japanese culture at the Spicewood Springs Library in Austin, or drop by a trade skills workshop at the Williams Career School of Excellence in San Marcos. There’s lots to explore!

Visit the festival website to see the full lineup. And check the hashtags #CtxLearningFestival and #LearningTogether for the latest news!

Learning is a lifelong activity. Whether you’re restarting an old hobby, like crochet, or learning new software, like Microsoft Excel, the Round Rock Public Library is here to help!

We’ve got classes, of course, and clubs galore. Not to mention books and DVDs. But that’s not all. With a Round Rock Public Library card, Round Rock residents can use our online databases to learn something new!

Trace your family’s history with HeritageQuest, Fold3, and Ancestry. (Ancestry’s only available inside the library, but you can use everything else at home.) Practice Spanish, learn chess, and study for the GED with one-on-one tutors at Brainfuse-HelpNow. Build and grow a small business with Gale Business. And so much more!
