This project is to reconstruct the existing two-lane CR to a six-lane divided and added pedestrian facilities along with curb and gutter and drainage from CR 117 to CR 110.

The City of Round Rock conducted a public meeting regarding the proposed roadway improvements of CR 112 from AW Grimes Blvd to CR 110 in Round Rock, Texas on Tuesday October, 26, 2021.
The purpose of the meeting was to present information and solicit public comment on the proposed reconstruction and widening of the roadway. Round Rock staff and their consultants were available at the meeting to discuss the proposed project.

Project Update: September 2025

This segment of the roadway began on March 6th, 2025, with the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.  Roadway has been cut to subgrade and the large 4 by7 foot boxes are being placed at the intersection of CR-110.  A large portion of the drainage system has been installed and the west bound bridge at McNutt Creek continues to be worked on.  The big transmission gas line was worked on and extended for the roadway expansion this summer.  The fill has been placed for the approaches, and all the columns and bents have been poured.  The bridge beams were set Monday August 18th, 2025.  Work continues on the bridge and the roadway.  The bridge deck was poured September 25th. Completion dates are late winter of 2026 or early 2027.
