Garbage and recycling delayed one day during holidays

City offices to be closed Jan. 1 for New Year's holiday

City offices, including the LibraryClay Madsen Recreation CenterMunicipal Court, Baca Center and Utility Billing Office will be closed Friday, Jan. 1, for the New Year’s Day holiday. Utility bills and court-related fines can be paid online.

Friday’s residential and commercial trash pickup will be delayed. Questions can be directed to Round Rock Refuse.

If your normal collection day is Friday, your holiday pickup will be Saturday, Dec. 26.

Christmas Tree Recycling

Need to recycle your Christmas tree? Trees can be recycled at the Round Rock Recycling Center, 310 Deepwood Drive, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The trees will be shredded into mulch which is free to Round Rock residents for pickup at the recycling center. Be sure to remove all decorations, nails, wires, ornaments, tree stands, lights, and tinsel before bringing in your tree.

On Saturday, Dec. 26 and Saturday, Jan. 2, 2020 only, the City will give away small tree seedlings (100 per day/one per vehicle) and provide volunteers to help unload trees for residents who bring their Christmas trees for recycling.
