Clay Madsen Recreation Center and Allen R. Baca Center recognized as best in Central Texas

The Clay Madsen Recreation Center and Allen R. Baca Center for Senior and Community Activities were recently recognized by Senior Resource Guide as the Best of 2022 in the Central Texas region.

This year’s recognition is the seventh time the Baca Center has taken home an award in the Best Senior Center category and the first win for CMRC under the Best Place to Get Fit category.

2022 proved to be a fierce year of competition as a record number of Central Texans cast their votes again in the Senior Resource Guide’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards.

The Clay Madsen Recreation Center is a 55,000-square foot comprehensive recreation facility. Constructed in 2000, the facility is designed to provide all-inclusive recreational opportunities with a variety of features to meet the needs of the City of Round Rock community and surrounding communities.

Conveniently located in Downtown Round Rock, the Allen R. Baca Center has been serving the community since 2005 with social, recreational and educational programs specifically for adults ages 50 and up. The building includes a cardio/weight room, meeting spaces, banquet room, kitchen, library, billiards and an arts and crafts room.
