Night Rider Family Bike Ride

The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department will host the 5th Annual Night Rider Family Bike Ride presented by Sprouts Farmers Market on Saturday, July 22 starting at twilight at the Rabb House which is adjacent to the Play for All Park. Night Rider is a unique and exciting organized GLOW bike ride utilizing the Brushy Creek Regional Trail System. Cyclists can ride up to 6 miles and ride at their own safe pace with support along the courses.

Glow-in-the-dark bike gear and flashing lights are encouraged. Per State Law, bike helmets, a front bicycle light and rear reflector or bicycle light are required.

Late registration and packet pick up will begin at 7:30 p.m. with bike riders taking off at dark. Activities are planned when the bike riders return featuring fun for the entire family at the Rabb House!

About the ride

The Night Rider Family Bike Ride is a non-competitive family bike ride
and block party at night through Round Rock’s trail system. Night Rider is a unique, exciting ride and party. It is not a race! Bicyclists will be allowed to ride at their own safe pace. Police support and volunteers will be along the route. Riders will enjoy the surprise lighting FX and glowing fun on the route provided by Interactive Entertainment Systems.

Early registration fee is $10 per rider. The fee is $15 on the day of the event.

The ride will start and finish at the Rabb House located next to the Play for All Park.

Safety

Helmet checks will be done courtesy of area bike shops. For safety and per State law, bike helmets, a front bicycle light and rear reflector or bicycle light are required.

Join us before the ride for bike checks and music. Ride through the night and enjoy the “Light it Up Party” at the Rabb House featuring refreshments and family activities!
