Round Rock celebrates July 4 with Sertoma Independence Day Parade and Frontier Days

Celebrate Independence Day in a big way. Round Rock is celebrating 250 years of American Independence with a full day of festivities, including the Annual Sertoma Independence Day Parade and Frontier Days at Old Settlers Park.

The day begins with one of Round Rock’s favorite traditions, the Annual Sertoma Independence Day Parade, starting at 8:30 a.m. The parade will travel along a 1.5-mile route on Mays Street between Mays Crossing and Sunset Drive and feature giant helium balloons, festive floats, community groups, music and plenty of patriotic spirit.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to find a good viewing spot before the parade begins.

The celebration continues at noon with Frontier Days at Old Settlers Park, located at the Lakeview Stage and Pavilion, 1501 Harrell Parkway. This free, family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, festival food, vendors, family activities, pig races, a pepper-eating contest, free ice cream presented by City Council and more.

Live music will include performances by the Austin Symphonic Band and The Spazmatics. As night falls, a dazzling fireworks display will light up the sky over Old Settlers Park before the celebration continues with more live music on the Main Stage.
