School’s out, and summer’s in, which means it’s time for another Summer Reading Program at the Round Rock Public Library!
As always, we want to inspire readers of all ages to read, read, read. Read everything. Read anything. Graphic novels, audiobooks, picture books—if it’s got words, it counts!
And we really do mean all ages. From Monday, June 3, to Wednesday, July 31, everyone from age 0 to 100+ can log their reading in our online portal, ReadSquared. For every 300 minutes you log, you’ll get a Book Buck or Prize Voucher.
Starting Monday, June 10, kids and teens can spend their Book Bucks in the Summer Reading Store on the second floor. Adults can exchange Prize Vouchers for prizes on the third floor. Everyone can earn up to five prizes, so keep reading till the end!
We’re kicking off the Summer Reading Program with a food drive for the Round Rock Area Serving Center!
From May 20 to June 3, bring nonperishable food (no glass, please) to the library’s third floor service desk. For each donation you make, you’ll receive a ticket for a prize drawing. (Limit one ticket per person, per day.) We encourage donations from everyone, of every age.
On June 4, we’ll draw a ticket and notify our winner! The winner will receive four Round Rock Express baseball tickets, good for any Sunday-Thursday regular season game through September 15, 2024.
The Summer Reading Program wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our supporters and sponsors. Thank you, each and every one of you.
