Do you have an irrigation system and not really sure how to use it, or how many minutes to set it for? July is Smart Irrigation Month and the perfect time to get acquainted with your system!
The City of Round Rock is offering free classes every Thursday in July to learn how to lower your water use, as well as your bills.
Topics will include:
- The different type of sprinkler heads and the pros and cons of each
- How to clean and replace sprinkler nozzles
- What to consider when scheduling different sprinkler zones
- How to program and make changes to your controller
- How to install a rain sensor
You can also schedule free irrigation evaluations for your home if you are qualified.
Classes will take place 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Bob Bennett Public Works Building, 3400 Sunrise Road.
While these classes are free and open to the public, registration is required.
