Christmas Family Night

Join us for the annual Christmas Family Night, Round Rock’s annual holiday tradition. The celebration starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday, December 6 with a welcome from Mayor Morgan and Santa at the Main Stage followed by illumination of the NEW water tower lights and the Hometown Holiday Lights Downtown. Round Rock Rotary Reindeer Run 5K & Family Fun Run

Join us for the 10th Annual Round Rock Rotary Reindeer Run 5K and Family Fun Run through Old Settlers Park and a grand start at the end of the stunning Christmas Town light tunnel at the Old Setters Association. All the fun takes place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30. You will be surrounded by amazing holiday lights and Christmas cheer and enjoy FREE family activities throughout the evening. Paid participants in all runs will receive an event t-shirt.

You are encouraged to come dressed in festive holiday clothing/costumes. There will be various opportunities for photographs. Giveaways will be distributed while supplies last.By participating in the fun run, you will be helping to raise funds for the maintenance and improvement of the Play for All Park.

Holiday Bazaar Arts & Crafts Show

The Clay Madsen Recreation Center invites you to the 16th Annual Rockin’ Around the Holidays Bazaar Arts & Crafts Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019. A variety of vendors will be present for you to start shopping for unique and handcrafted items. Admission is free but please bring a canned food item or boxes of colorful Band-Aids for the Children’s Hospital. More info. here:

Veterans Day Ceremony

Join us for a special Veterans Day Ceremony to be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at Veterans Park. The ceremony will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9078 and the Round Rock Veterans Memorial Committee. 

You may still order plaques to honor a loved who has served that can be placed on the monument located at the park.

Dia de los Muertos Procession and Festival

Join Round Rock Ballet Folklorico, along with Williamson County Hispanic Heritage CommitteeCity of Round RockRound Rock Arts, and Univision for the seventh annual Dia de los Muertos procession and festival, from 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019 at Centennial Plaza, 301 West Bagdad.

Día de los Muertos is a traditional Mesoamerican holiday dedicated to the ancestors; it honors both death and the cycle of life. There will be activities for kids and art, craft and food vendors. Dress up in your finest Calaca, Frida, Selena or Prince apparel. 

The parade to Centennial Plaza begins at 5 p.m. at Wells Fargo Bank. The procession will arrive at Centennial Plaza at 5:15 p.m.

Play for Fall FUNdraising Event

😱😱😱DON’T FREAK OUT!!! You can still get tickets for the Play for Fall FUNdraising Event taking place TONIGHT Fri., Oct. 25 from 7 to 9:30pm at the Play For All Park. Tickets can be purchased in person at the event starting at 5:45pm. The park is located at 151 North A.W. Grimes Blvd. We hope to see you all there for this amazing Halloween tradition!

The Play for All Park will be closed on Thursday, October 24, Friday, October 25 and Saturday until 12 noon to prepare & cleanup the event. The Play for All Park will be BOOfully decorated with special Halloween FX and fall attractions for all ages. TRICK-OR-TREAT though the Village Pod and along the Brushy Creek Trail to fill your bucket with goodies-galore!  FEED me at the
Rabb House Monster Munchie concession stand. Keep an eye out for our THRILLING performance schedule with live entertainment you won’t want to miss! Take a trip around the Speedway to experience Halloween around the World.  CREEP through the Cobweb Castle, be entertained by our talking Pumpkins and so much more! The entire park will be decked out with surprise attractions at every turn!                

This event will take place on Friday, October 25th from 7:00-9:30 pm at the Play for All Park, located at 151 North A.W. Grimes Blvd. Those with special needs and their families will be able to enter the park beginning at 6:00pm (Special Needs Advance Ticket required).

Special Needs and General Admission Advance Tickets are $10 each and all proceeds benefit the Play for All Foundation. Each person entering the event must have a ticket. Children 2 and under are free with paid adult/guardian (will not receive a wristband) and donations are encouraged. Tickets are non-refundable.  To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all inside the park, a limited number of tickets will be sold.  

Tickets can be purchased online HERE (convenience fee applies) or at the Parks and Recreation Department Office (cash or check only). Online ticket sales will end on October 24th at midnight.

Cornhole – CoRec League

Cornhole CoRec Beer League begins Tuesday, Oct. 8.  It is a 8 game season and games will be played at Clay Madsen Recreation Center Tennis Courts.  It will be a round robin type place and games will be every Tuesday beginning at 6:30 pm. Teams taken on a first come, first serve basis, as space is available.  

There is no maximum number of players per roster.
The cost is $100 per team.  21+ only and it’s BYOB.

Fall Fun Festival | Moved to Old Settlers Association Tabernacle

Due to bad weather, the Fall Fun Fest scheduled for tomorrow morning has been moved from the Pavilion area to the Old Settlers Association Tabernacle located at 3300 Palm Valley Boulevard.  Click the link for direction: Please do not park in the Salt Lick parking lot. We will have parking attendants to assist in helping you park.  Please park at the Dell Diamond parking. We are looking to see you all tomorrow for another great event!

The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Fall Fun Festival 2019 will take place from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Old Settlers Park Festival Area. We will have carnival games for toddlers and preschoolers, hayrides, cookies and punch and fun entertainment for all to enjoy. 

Cross our moat into a mystical place
Filled with fairies and dragons to put a smile on your face
Princess and knights can come and play
And taste your favorite treats on this Fall day!                                  

Entertainment and fun for everyone! Be sure to wear you favorite costume! 

Guests are encouraged to bring a canned item for the Round Rock Serving Center.
