Water Conservation Program hosting rain barrel sale

Ivy Rain Barrel

The City of Round Rock’s Water Conservation Program is selling rain barrels at a discounted price to encourage residents to conserve water resources as well as to protect water quality.

The 50-gallon, black barrels cost $72.50 each, which is almost half off retail price.

Barrels may be pre-ordered through Nov. 11 at rainbarrelprogram.org/roundrock for pickup on Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Dell Diamond’s northeast parking lot. A limited number of barrels will be available for sale on site on a first-come, first-served basis.

There is no limit to barrel purchases. Individuals do not have to be a City water customer or resident to purchase barrels; however, City of Round Rock water customers can maximize savings by participating in the City’s Rainwater Collection Rebate.
