City Manager

Laurie Hadley was named City Manager on Jan. 8, 2015, after serving as Assistant City Manager since May 1, 2011.

Hadley has three decades of experience in local government. Prior to coming to Round Rock, she was Deputy City Manager in Prescott, Ariz., from 2006-2010, and from 1997 to 2006 she served as Assistant to the City Manager. Her first 10 years in government were with Yavapai County, Ariz.

Hadley lives in Round Rock and is married to Jim. They have three children, Katie, Thomas and Michael.

Hadley holds a Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Northern Arizona University.

Assistant City Managers

The City of Round Rock has two assistant city managers overseeing various departments in the City.

Brooks Bennett
Assistant City Manager

Brooks Bennett has served as Assistant City Manager since February 2015.

Bennett oversees the following departments:

Bennett started his career in Round Rock in May 2004, holding positions in Communications and Information Technology, and ultimately serving as Chief Information Officer before being named an Assistant City Manager.

Bennett holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Texas-Pan American.

Bennett was born and raised in Round Rock and resides here with his wife and two young children.

Bryan Williams
Assistant City Manager

Bryan Williams has served as Assistant City Manager since November 2011. Williams had previously been Police Chief.

Williams oversees the following departments:

Williams started his career in Round Rock as Police Chief in May 2004, following a 19-year career in McKinney, Texas. He holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from LeTourneau University.

Williams began his career in McKinney as a patrol officer in 1985 after serving four years in the U.S. Army.

Brad Wiseman
Assistant City Manager

Brad Wiseman has served as Assistant City Manager since December 2023. 

Brad Wiseman started his career in Round Rock in 2007 after working for five years at the City of Palm Beach Gardens, FL in their Growth Management Department. He served as the Director of Planning and Development Services for Round Rock from 2012-2023.

Wiseman has a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida Atlantic University in Urban and Regional Planning and Zoning and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Texas, Rio-Grande Valley.

NOTE: The Police, Finance and Human Resources departments report to the City Manager.
