🇺🇸 A special thank you to the Round Rock Marines for volunteering their time this morning to help remove the thousands of flags from Flag Plaza as this year’s 9/11 remembrance comes to a close.
Throughout this past week, our community came together at Flag Plaza among 5,000 American flags: 2,979 honoring the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and 2,021 honoring Texas service members who lost their lives in the line of duty in the years that followed.
We are grateful to the Texas Fallen Project, Inc. for their continued partnership with the City of Round Rock in making this meaningful tribute possible, and to everyone who visited Flag Plaza, walked among the flags, and took a moment to remember and reflect.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
