Outdoor Music Venue Permits
The City Clerk is primarily responsible for compiling and publishing the City Council agendas, attending each meeting of the City Council, and maintaining a record of accurate minutes of the proceedings. Completed minutes can be found on Round Rock Replay and are usually available 2 to 4 weeks after a meeting has occurred.
In addition, the City Clerk is the custodian of all official city records, which includes, but is not limited to ordinances, resolutions, contracts and agreements, easements, deeds of city owned property, and is the designated Records Manager of the City.
Proclamation requests are also made through the City Clerk’s office. If you wish to request a proclamation to be read at an event or at a City Council meeting, please complete and submit a Proclamation Request Form at least 1 month in advance of the date it is needed.
This office also coordinates municipal elections, oversees publications and postings of legal notices and agendas of all boards and commissions of the City; as well as monitoring and managing the terms and attendance of all board and commission members. The City Clerk also reviews and approves TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) applications, issues local alcoholic beverage permits, as well as processes applications for outdoor music venue permits.
The City Clerk’s office oversees the publication and codification of the City’s Code of Ordinances, and is deemed the City’s public information officer as it relates to the Texas Public Information Act, and provides information maintained by and for the City in accordance with requirements established by law in the Texas Public Information Act. The Council Meetings are held the second and fourth Thursday of the month and the agendas are posted at City Hall and on the website at least 72 hours in advance of a meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
About the City Clerk
Sara White has served as City Clerk for the City of Round Rock since October 2007. Prior to coming to the City, she started her career with the Texas Department of Agriculture and Samsung Austin Semiconductor.
Sara holds both a Bachelors Degree (BBA) and Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Texas Tech University and is a Texas Registered Municipal Clerk (TRMC) through the Texas Municipal Clerks Certification Program.
