Neighborhood Cleanup Community Meetings

Each year Community and Neighborhood Services selects 4 or 5 low to moderate income neighborhoods to host a Community Wide Cleanup Event. The event is held on a scheduled Saturday and is a great opportunity for residents to discard bulk trash and rubbish as well as brush and yard debris, free of charge.

A cleanup can be as big or as small as the community wants it to be. The purpose for the meeting is to get input from community members and to determine the level of participation necessary for a successful event. This meeting will focus on identifying residents from the neighborhood who need assistance, recruitment of volunteers willing to assist these residents, and upon conclusion of the presentation to answer questions related to the scheduled cleanup date.

Neighborhood Services Coordinators will also provide community members with a detailed explanation of services and resources provided by the Community and Neighborhood Services Department that are available to residents free of charge.
