The Round Rock Police Department is investigating a jewelry store robbery that took place yesterday at the Round Rock Premium Outlets.
On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at approximately 12:47 p.m. officers responded to a robbery in progress at the mall’s Marc Robinson Jewelers, located at 4401 N I-35. Store employees reported to police that multiple suspects entered the store carrying hammers and began breaking glass display cases and stealing jewelry. All the suspects were wearing masks and gloves. Suspects pepper-sprayed a store employee and a bystander during the robbery before fleeing with a large amount of stolen jewelry.
Officers soon located the vehicle the suspects were described to have fled the area in abandoned nearby at the 401 Teravista apartment complex. This vehicle, a blue Hyundai Sonata, was determined to have been stolen out of Humble, a Houston metro area city. The recovered vehicle was taken by police for processing, and the case remains active.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Dwayne Riley at (512)218-6619.

This was going to go one of two ways…
A little over a month ago, an injured raccoon was spotted on I-35, lying motionless on the ledge of an overpass.
Fortunately, one of our animal control officers arrived just in time to help.
The raccoon was safely rescued and transported to a local wildlife rehabilitator, where it underwent surgery for a diaphragmatic hernia, causing severe breathing difficulties and likely the result of being struck by a vehicle.
This week, after several weeks of recovery, our furry friend was officially released back into its natural habitat by our friends at All Things Wild Rehabilitation, Inc. You can check out the release video on their socials.

The middle of an intersection?
Yeah… you can’t park there.
Red means stop.
Not “stop wherever you feel like it.”
