The Round Rock Summer Arts Fest is a new signature downtown arts festival located in the heart of Downtown Round Rock. Round Rock Summer Arts Fest features hundreds of artists, exhibitors, sponsors, local and regional musicians, theatrical performances plus a variety of foods and drinks. Round Rock Summer Arts Fest is hosted by City of Round Rock Arts and Culture and is a showcase for a large variety of fine art, fine crafts, and other exhibitors and provides patrons with the opportunity to meet and talk with the artists who create the work. It also includes artist demos and interactive arts experiences for all ages! 

Admission is free for this all ages, family fun event.

Festival Hours

  • Thursday, August 6, 2026: Kick-off the weekend fun the night before with an Exhibit Reception in the City Arts Center (come-and-go from 7 p.m.-9 p.m) and a Street Dance with Dysfunkshun Junkshun at our Sheppard Street Stage,  8 – 10 p.m.
  • Friday, August 7, 2026: Noon – 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 8, 2026: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 9, 2026: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Where do I find the fun?

Locations: Experience the people, creativity and community that make Round Rock unlike anywhere else. Look for Round Rock Summer Arts Fest activities, artists, performances, artist demonstrations and interactive arts experiences in a variety of locations in and around the City Arts Center. We’ll be in the Downtown Paseo, Main Street, Liberty Street, Prete Plaza and Sheppard Street/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way.

We’re celebrating visual artists with 100 Artist Exhibitors along the streets of downtown! 

Inside of the City Arts Center, we will feature artwork by Dale Chihuly, including the “Ruby Sunstone Pineapple” art sculpture and Chihuly exhibit. Plus an exhibit by Ziesook You. 

Get hands-on making art yourself or watch incredible artists in action with demos from Ghost Pepper Glass and Texas Society of Sculptors and their Sculpture Village, as well as hands-on art making with Round Rock Community Clay and a printmaking artists’ area too!

We will have additional art exhibits in the Griffith Building by Central Texas Pastel Society and Amie Gonser, plus the Picasso STEAM Makers Area and workshops in the Studio at the City Art Center. 

FESTIVAL EVE EVENT: The public is invited to our come-and-go arts reception on Thursday, August 6 from 7-9pm in the City Arts Center to showcase the Ruby Sunstone Pineapple art sculpture by Dale Chihuly, alongside a selection of his works. Plus, experience art by local artist Ziesook You. Live jazz with the Mark Scott III Trio and the Luke Allen Band. This event is free and open to the public.

Experience Performances

Enjoy free concerts and performances by Dysfunkshun Junkshun, Jacob Gonzales Band, 80H Project, George Mercado Band, Rodeo and Juliette and Mach 5, plus others! For concerts in Prete Plaza, please bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the shows. 

FESTIVAL EVE SPECIAL EVENT: Thursday, August 6th, 6pm-8pm: Kick off the Round Rock Summer Arts Fest weekend with a free community concert the night before the festival fun begins! Join us for an evening of live music, dancing, and great company as Dysfunkshun Junkshun takes the stage for a lively street dance in downtown. Bring your friends, enjoy the atmosphere, and celebrate the start of the festival with a night of music under the open sky. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome!

Kick off the Round Rock Summer Arts Fest weekend with two kinds of festival fun the night before!

Exhibit Reception in the City Arts Center on August 6th, 7pm-9pm

The public is invited to our come-and-go arts reception in the City Arts Center to showcase the Ruby Sunstone Pineapple art sculpture by Dale Chihuly, alongside a selection of his works. Streetdance Concert with Dysfunkshun Junkshun on August 6th, 8pm-10pm

Join us for an evening of live music, dancing, and great company as Dysfunksun Junkshun takes the stage for a lively street dance in downtown. Bring your friends, enjoy the atmosphere, and celebrate the start of the festival with a night of music under the open sky. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome! This high-energy local favorite band has been delivering funk, soul, R&B, disco, pop, and dance classics for over 30 years! This event will take place at our Round Rock Summer Arts Fest Sheppard Street Stage at the corner of Liberty Street.
