Round Rock is a Certified Music Friendly Community!

Participation in the Texas Music Office’s “Music Friendly Community” program provides Texas communities with a network for fostering music industry development and sends a clear message to industry professionals that certified communities are serious about attracting and developing music industry growth.

Sixty cities have received the official Music Friendly Communities designation from the Texas Music Office, including Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Denton, Lindale, Stephenville, Conroe, San Angelo, Nacogdoches, Abilene, McKinney, Waxahachie, Waco, Alpine, Bastrop, New Braunfels, Victoria, Arlington, Brenham, and Round Rock!

Where to Enjoy Live Music in Round Rock

Some 50 live music events take place throughout Round Rock each week, meaning about 2,600 performances annually! We are sharing our list of the venues and organizations hosting live music events! 

The City of Round Rock Arts and Culture is host to over 150 events per year that feature music, including our Music on Main, Hometown Parklet Shows, Hometown Holiday performances, Beaujolais Nights, and more.

Music Heals: Pick With Austin

When you see “Pick With Austin” instruments/equipment on display in the Downtowner Gallery, it’s part of a mental health awareness initiative, in partnership with 2010 Pick With Austin, Inc.
 
The gallery serves as a pickup/dropoff point for new and gently used musical instruments/equipment. Are you, a friend, or a family member in need of an outlet to help you get through a difficult time? The purpose of Pick With Austin is to help educate and elevate a community awareness about the dangers of depression, with a belief that Music Heals. Please take one of these free instruments home.
